Jennifer McAuliffe is a Fine Art graduate of the Crawford College of Art, Cork, Ireland. After studying painting and life drawing in college, she continued to develop her knowledge of materials and technique. Having taught both children and adults, she is a firm believer in drawing as a foundation for developing skills as a painter. Jennifer has also studied graphic design and photography graduating with honours. Jennifer works primarily in oils, painting Cork landscapes, old Cork scenes and architectural scenes of Cork. Her interest in photography has always been key in her work as a painter. She now uses photography as a medium and photographs as finished pieces. Her attention to detail, while capturing the effects of seasonal light on the subject, are characteristic of Jennifer's atmospheric and emotional style.  Time, and its affects on light and colour, has left its impression on Cork city, and is the inspiration for her paintings and photographs.
